Chargé d'Affairs Helle Nielsen and Deputy Head of Mission of Danish Embassy in Pakistan Jakob Jakobsen donating their blood for Thalassemia Centre of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal at Islamabad.

A blood donation camp was arranged in Denmark Embassy, for the poor thalassemics under treatment at the Thalassemia Centre of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM), Chargé d'Affairs Helle Nielsen and Deputy Head of Mission of Danish Embassy in Pakistan Jakob Jakobsen also donated their blood along with other personnel of the embassy. Chargé d'Affaires Helle Nielsen on this occasion said that Pakistan and Denmark are enjoying very strong and cooperative relationships and today’s event will guide us towards joint efforts in social sector. She was of the view that it is high time such endeavors be undertaken in Pakistan by taking the lead of Managing Director PBM Barrister Abid Waheed Sheikh who has come up as a beacon of light for poor patients of Thalassemia and deprived persons of the country. Deputy Head of Mission Jakob Jakobsen, on this occasion, said that his colleagues at the Embassy were high spirited to donate their blood for their Pakistani brothers and sisters affected by this fatal disease.
