Calligraphy is everlasting legacy of Islamic tradition, MD Bait ul Mal
Group calligraphic exhibition held at RAC

In connection with sacred month of Rabi ul Awal, Rawalpindi Arts Council organized a group calligraphic exhibition here on Tuesday. Barrister Abid Waheed Sheikh, Managing Director, Pakistan Bait ul Mal flanked by Naheed Manzoor and Resident Director RAC inaugurated the exhibition which was also attended by large number of art lovers from twin cities. The master art pieces of Aftab Ahmed Khan, Ehali Bukhsh Matti, Kh Muhammad Hussain, Nadeem Sheikh, Al-Firdos, Sajid Sypra, Ali Ahmed, Younis Roomi and Zia ul Qamar were put on display.Addressing at the inaugural ceremony, Barrister Abid Waheed Sheikh, Managing Director, Pakistan Bait ul Mal said that calligraphy is an everlasting legacy of Islamic tradition which would be continued forever. He said it was pleasurable that Rawalpindi Arts Council is keeping going the promotion of Islamic values besides cultural and literary activities.Naheed Manzoor said that aim to organize calligraphic exhibition is to keep aware the public from Quranic teachings. Resident Director RAC Waqar Ahmed said that it is great honor for the Council for which the work of great artists of the region have been put on display which would be open for general public till February 8.
